Meet Dr. Mueller
I’ve been practicing dentistry for 29 years. During that time, I’ve witnessed many advances in techniques and technology. What has never changed, however, is my commitment to caring for patients one-on-one. Building meaningful connections and helping people achieve better oral health is the most rewarding part of my job. I truly value collaborating with my partner, Dr. Graber, and our dedicated team of dental professionals as we work together to shape the future of our practice.
My Education and Experience
I was born and raised right here in Oregon, leaving only to pursue my education. My first stop was at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. While the science was interesting, it didn’t take long for me to realize that I wanted something more hands-on and personal for my career, and dentistry turned out to be the perfect fit! It lets me combine my science background with the opportunity to work closely with a healthcare team and, most importantly, provide care that makes a real difference for patients.
I left Wisconsin for the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where I earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in May 1996. In February 1997, I returned to Oregon and opened Mueller Dental.
When it comes to continuing my education, I believe it is vital to stay current with advances in dental care and technology. It allows me to review and implement new treatments, as well as collaborate with other dental professionals to stay competitive and offer the best care possible. In addition to my involvement with the Seattle Study Club and the Wisconsin Dental Study Club, I am an active member of the Academy of General Dentists, American Dental Association, and the Wisconsin Dental Association, all of which offer numerous opportunities to expand my knowledge.
Family and Community
I've been married to my wife, and business manager, Rebecca for 35 years. We have four children, Lukas, a physical education teacher in New London; Sam, a project manager in Golden, Colorado; Marshall, who is studying aviation at Minnesota State; and Lydia, who is pursuing a degree in Biology at the University of Wisconsin–River Falls. We have two dogs, a cat, and handful of retired 4-H chickens.
I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, whether it’s at home or up north at our cabin in Minocqua. I love working in my garden and beekeeping as well as spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.
Over the years, I’ve had the chance to coach youth sports and be involved in a variety of community activities our kids have been part of. Growing up in Oregon gave me a strong foundation to build both my family and career, and I feel fortunate for that. That’s why I believe it’s important to give back and stay connected to the community that has given me so much.
